Everett H. Norris, 70, of Bloomfield, passed away at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at his residence.

Born May 15, 1935 in Greene County, he was the son of Andrew Paul Norris and Laura (Bland) Norris. He was married to Marilyn K. (Scott) Norris.

He was a block mason by trade and later worked in janitorial and light maintenance for the Bloomfield State Bank and Bloomfield Eastern Greene Library. He was a U.S. Army veteran and attended Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield.

Survivors include: his wife Marilyn K. Norris of Bloomfield; three daughters, Michele DeLane and her husband Darren McDonald of Bloomfield, and Cheryl Ann and Teresa Diana, both of Florida; two granddaughters, Kara DeLane and Shana DeLee McDonald; two sisters, Helen Noel of Bloomfield and Mary Phillips of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home Bloomfield with Rev. Henry Mann Jr. and Rev. Ed Smith officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery Bloomfield.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, and one hour prior to service Saturday at the funeral home.
