Born Oct. 10, 1909 in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Earl Bedwell and Pearl Phillips Bedwell.
She was a member of the Bethel Community Church in Dugger and a member of the Eastern Star 482 in Dugger for 76 years.
Survivors include: one son, Danny Houk of Jasonville; one sister, Delores Justus of Galesburg, Ill., three grandchildren, Keith Houk, Jeffrey Houk and Brian Houk; six step-grandchildren, Rocky Colston, Sarah Colston, Myron Keene, Michelle Wallace, Carey Houk and Beth Thureanos; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph E. Houk in 1959; her second husband, Kenny Hannum in 1979; three brothers, Jack Bedwell, John Bedwell and Rex Bedwell; one sister, Leola Holstetter; a step-son, Alfred Houk; and a step-grandson, Alan Houk.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. Cletus Bough officiating.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and before the service Saturday.
