Spinks retired as a warehouse supervisor for RCA in Bloomington after 42 years of service. He was a member of the House of Prayer in Ellettsville and Indiana Bureau of Electrical Workers. He also was affiliated with antique machinery shows.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Jeffrey A. Spinks of Bloomington; two sisters, Norma Combs of Bloomington and Mary Spinks of Lyons; one brother, Robert Spinks of Indianapolis; one grandson, Anthony L. Spinks of Bloomfield; and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Simone Spinks of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Spinks, on July 15, 2006, and by a stillborn granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 20, at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Larry Mitchell officiating.
