Roger Dale Pearson, 49, of Newark in eastern Greene County, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2006, at Bloomington Hospital.

Born Dec. 26, 1956 in Linton, he was the son of William Henry Pearson and Lois M. (Whaley) Pearson. He was married to Rebecca (Calloway) Pearson.

He was a tree trimmer for Asplundh Tree Expert Company.

Survivors include: his wife Rebecca Pearson of Newark; two sons, Jarrod Pearson of Spencer, and Jason Pearson of Spencer; a brother Henry Leon Pearson of Bloomfield; three sisters, Pamela Schloesser of Bloomfield, Cheryl Minniear of Bloomington, and Rita Pearson of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Ana Pearson, Gregory Pearson, Hezekiah Pearson, Malachi Pearson, and Argyle Pearson; his mother Lois M. Pearson of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father William Pearson, who passed away Aug. 31, 1992.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Don Lane officiating. Burial will be at Tulip Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
