Dannie Lee Moon, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, Aug. 28, 2006 at Royal Oaks Nursing Home in Terre Haute.

Born Feb. 15, 1933, in Merom, he was the son of Charles Moon and Dorothy Doris (Rockwell) Moon.

He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War where he received several medals, including a Purple Heart. After the war, he worked as a general laborer and then became a pastor.

Survivors include: three daughters, Ruby Houldson and husband Darrell, Sandra Byers and husband Russ and Ruth Bowersock and husband Joe, all of Linton; grandchildren, Teresa Ellis, Heaven Houldson, Jorrell Houldson, G.J. Bowersock, Summer Bowersock, Bridgette Bowersock, Isaac Bowersock, Robbie Byers and Brandon Byers, all of Linton; and great-grandchildren Audriana Hostetter and Landon Ellis.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

There is no funeral service scheduled.

The Rose Lawn Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
