Peter P. Kurtz, 80, of Bloomfield, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2006 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

He was a self-employed construction worker. He retired from Pennsylvania University, where he worked in maintenance.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kurtz; one daughter, Kathleen Sims of Bloomfield; and four sons, Peter P. Kurtz Jr. and Carl M. Kurtz, both of Philadelphia, Pa., and Christopher M. Kurtz and Andrew C. Kurtz, both of Bloomfield.

There will be no public service or visitation.

Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
