Born on June 10, 1920, he was the son of Emigdio and Amparo (Sarmiento) Rubira.
He was a fisherman.
Survivors include two daughters, Mercedes Ax of Linton and Amparo Hernandez of New Jersey; three sons, Ramon Rubira and Lazaro Rubira, both of New Jersey, and Reynaldo Gil Deldado of Pinar del Rio, Cuba; two brothers, Juan Rubira and Bienbenido Rubira; and two sisters, Almando Hernandez and Francisca Rubira.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Segundo Rubira; a daughter, Victoria Rubira; two brothers, Grecellio and Antonio Rubira; and two sisters, Edemira and Geogina Rubira.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Vista Funeral Home in Miami Lakes, Fla. Burial will be at Vista Memorial Gardens in Miami Lakes.
Friends may call 4-9 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
