Born Oct. 3, 1942 in Linton, he was the son of Harold Dickey and Iona (English) Dickey.
He previously worked in coal mining.
Survivors include: his father Harold Dickey of Ironton, Mo.; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Steve Dickey of Indianapolis, and Pastor Bob and Kim Dickey of Clay City; the children's mother Shirley (Stevenson) Dickey of Indianapolis; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Allen Harris of Ironton, Mo., and Nancy and Herb Siddle of St. Louis, Mo.; and grandchildren, Daniel and Staci Dickey, Ben Dickey, Megan Dickey, Sarah Dickey, and Rachel Dickey.
He was preceded in death by his mother Iona Dickey and a brother-in-law Marion Peach Heath.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Bob Dickey officiating. There will be a private family committal service at Walker Cemetery following the service.
