Shirley A. Ball, 67, of Linton passed away Saturday, Sept. 23 at Greene County General Hospital.

Born July 22, 1939 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Odus and Martha (Marlow) Wright.

On December 8th, 1956, she married Arthur R. "Toad" Ball.

She was currently a homemaker having retired in 2004. She previously worked at Keller Aluminum, Sunbeam, and did seasonal work at Pioneer Seed in Worthington.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Linton.

Survivors include two sons, Odus Ball and T.J. (Kay) Ball, both of Linton; two sisters: Betty Payne of Martinsville and Norma Harper of Linton; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Arthur "Toad" Ball; two sons: Terry and Timothy Ball and four brothers: Jimmy, Chuck, Gene, and Johnny Wright.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Warren Shake officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Greene County General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
