She was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Orville G. and Hattie L. (Goodin) Bohannon.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Linton.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie (Mumma) Evard and her husband, Dan, of Indianapolis, Melissa Nance of Linton; two sons, Steven Nance and his wife, Jille, of Linton, and James Nance and his wife, Letha, of Dale; four brothers, Orville Wayne Bohannon of Indianapolis, Ronald Bohannon of Bakersfield, Calif., John Bohannon of Indianapolis and Larry Bohannon of Florida; five sisters, Joni Bryan of Mooresville, Glenda Emberton of Radcliff, Ky, Judy Fox of Indianapolis, Patricia Schultz of Indianapolis and Penny Jo Cox of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her husband, James A. Nance; two brothers, Robert and Michael Bohannon; and her parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday with the Revs. Warren Allen & Dean Hartman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
