Gerald Wayne Hollars Sr., 82, of Bloomfield, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital in Carmel.

He was a self-employed farmer and attended Newberry Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his wife, Gail (Gideon) Guthrie of Bloomfield; two sons, Gary and his wife Sherry Hollars of Bloomfield and Ray Hollars of Spencer; one daughter, Margaret and her husband Stan Mills of Troy, Mich.; one brother, James Owen Hollars of Bradenton, Fla.; four step daughters, Karen Guthrie of Terre Haute, Diane Plano of Odon, Mary Ball of Bloomfield, and Pam Ball of Linton; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and 15 step-great grandchildren.

Service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be at Prairie Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bloomfield schools in care of the funeral home.
