He was born on Nov. 24, 1939 in Bloomfield to Virgil and Ruth (Carnegie) Emery.
Harry was a pipeline welder in Illinois for 35 years and a member of Plummers and Pipefitters Local No. 597 of Chicago.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Emery of Worthington. His daughter Tammy and son-in-law Tony Barletta and four grandsons -- Brett, Jordan, Ryan and Nicholas Barletta.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Van Emery, his parents, two sisters, one brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and brother-in-law
Private family services will be conducted Saturday with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery near Bloomfield.
