Brenda K. Parks, 65, of Bloomfield passed away at 4:48 p.m. at Bloomington Hospital.

Born March 20, 1941 she was the daughter of Harold and Rosa (Lester) Parks.

She worked as a secretary for an insurance company, and she was been a homemaker for many years.

Survivors include: one son, Rusty Dale and wife Tracy Parks of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Ashley, Emily Vanessa, Rusty II, LolaBelle and Daisy; her mother, Rosa Hayes of Bloomington; one sister, Vickie Young of Bloomington; and one brother, Terry Hayes of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her husband Judah Dale Parks on Dec. 26, 2000; her father Harold Hayes in 1985; two sons, Ricky Allen Parks on Dec. 8, 2001 and Roger Wayne Parks on July 1, 2003.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon on Monday at Jenkins funeral Home in Bloomfield with a graveside service following at Newark Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Hayes will officiate.
