Bob Carlisle, 70, of Cloverdale passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14 at his residence.

Born April 20, 1936 in Dugger, he was the son of John Robert and Imo Elizabeth (Hale) Carlisle.

He was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church and worked as a truck mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his parents of Dugger; his wife, Rebecca Carlisle of Clovedale; a sister and brother-in-law Shirley Ann and Russell Pope, of Martinsville; a brother and his wife, John Edward and Ginger Carlisle of Wyoming, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a sister Nelda Lou Carlisle.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will be in Doe Creek Cemetery in Cloverdale.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
