Born Aug. 2, 1914 in Bloomfield, she was the daughter of Maurice "Morris" W. and Golda (Heaton) Ritter.
She worked as a secretary at Crane NWSC. She was a 50-year member of Rebecca Lodge No. 595, Extension Homemakers Club, Bloomfield United Methodist Church, Greene County Historical Society, Past Nobel Grands Club, Ladies Encampment Club.
Survivors include: one daughter Mary Lou Quiel (Paul) of Bloomfield; two sons Bill Wade (Joanna) of Brownsburg and Gary Wade of Bloomington; six grandchildren Kim Todd of Bloomfield, Lori Thombleson of Bloomfield, Heather Unrue of Avon, Dawn Sutton of Indianapolis, Michael Aikins of Columbus, and Christopher Aikins of Florida; five great-grandchildren and one brother Robert Ritter of Greenwood.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. "Pat" Wade; four sisters Virginia Hash, Marjorie Ritter, Ona Haywood, Lucille Lander; two brothers William Ritter and Maurice H. Ritter; one daughter Carolyn J. White; and her parents.
Funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Billy Ed Hostettler officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
