She was born Jan. 25, 1921, in Gibson County, the daughter of Fred and Sarah Jones.
She was a homemaker and a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 22.
Survivors include: a son, Harry Hovey and his wife, Carla, of Linton; three step-daughters, Millie Maynard of Farmersburg, Janet Melville of Thorntown and Paulette Bemment of Omaha, Neb.; three grandchildren, Lori Gambill of Sullivan, Amy Masterson of Beech Grove and Crystal Will of Sullivan, 11 step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Gene Carter.
She was preceded by her first husband, George Hovey, in 1969, her second husband, Paul Watson, in 1991, a son, Ron Jones, two brothers, one sister and her parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 13, at Fairview Cemetery.
Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
