Gene L. West, 63, of Borden passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006.

Born March 30, 1943, he was the son Charles and Rachel (Hale) West.

Survivors include his wife; Gretta (Britton) West, who he married Nov. 20, 1964; two sons; Gordon (Shelly) West of Elizabethtown, KY and Greg West of Borden; five grandchildren; Pamela, Zada, Cera, Ashlee, and Gene; one step grandson Mathew; two brothers; Gary West of Linton and Craig West of Dugger; and his mother-in-law; Zada Britton of Linton.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law; Clarence Britton.

The memorial service will be at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, at 2 p.m. on Monday with Rev. Mike Roth officiating.

There will be no visitation.
