Wilma I. Allen, 91, of Lyons and formerly of Sandborn, passed away at 12:13 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006 at Lyons Health and Living Center.

Born Feb. 2, 1915 in Elnora, she was the daughter of James Allen and Elizabeth (Osborn) Allen.

She was a telephone operator at Elnora Telephone in Elnora and S&W Telephone Co. in Sandborn where she retired as co-manager. She was a member of Sandborn United Methodist Church.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ernest Allen; and one sister, Hazel Williams.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. CST on Thursday at Sandborn United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Stafford Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. CST on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. CST until time of service Thursday at Sandborn United Methodist Church.
