Mary E. Davis, 81, of Berne and formerly of Linton, passed away Saturday at Adams County Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 20, 1925 in Winchester, she is the daughter of William and Doreen (Conley) Nelson.

She had worked as a nurse's aid at Mary Sherman Hospital in Sullivan and was a member of the Salvation Army.

Survivors include: three sons, Leon Davis of New Haven, Bill Davis of Portland and Sam Davis of Jasonville; one daughter, Glenna Myers of Muncie; three brothers, Lowell Nelson of Bradenton, Fla., Donald Nelson of Celina, Ohio, Jim Nelson of Union City, Ohio; one sister, Jean Watkins of Berne; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. pm Tuesday at Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Dr. Wayne Steury officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Randolph County.

Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m.
