Josephine Belval

Josephine Belval, 92, of Detroit, Mich., passed away Dec. 25, 2006 at Shelby Nursing Center in Shelby Township, Mich.

She was born June 10, 1914 in Indiana to Howard and Cara Spurgeon.

She married Ferry Belval on Dec. 24, 1938 in Linton.

Survivors include her children: Jo-Aline (Richard) Cartwright and Dale (Pauline) Belval; four grandchildren, Kevin Cartwright, Brian (Jennifer) Cartwright, Eric Cartwright and Jeffrey Belval; great-grandchild Madison Cartwright; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996; her parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

A funeral service was Dec. 29, 2006 at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Funeral Home in Sterling Heights, Mich. Burial was in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township, Mich.
