Joseph C. "J.C." Maddox, 43, of Midland, passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born Sept. 22, 1963, he was the son of Edwin Dale and Patricia (Cunningham) Mattox.

He was a painter for M-J Painting in Terre Haute and a member of the Worthington Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Teri Ann (Maus) Maddox of Midland; one son, Steven B. Maddox of Midland; one daughter, Kristen M. Maddox of Midland; his parents, Edwin and Patricia Maddox of Bloomfield; one sister, Cynthia Anne Jeffries of Bowling Green, Ky.; and three brothers, Gregory D. Maddox of Avon, and Larry D. Maddox and Mark Edwin Maddox, both of Lebanon.

Service will be at 2 p.m. today at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Rich Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in rural Linton.
