Grethel Kates, 75, Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007.

She was born in Linton to Smith and Pauline (Fry) Reed.

Survivors include: a daughter, Nancy Kates; sons, Steve, Larry, Mike and Tim Kates; a sister Patty Meid; a brother, Bill Reed; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Little and Sons Beech Grove Chapel with visitation three hours prior to the service.

Burial will follow in New Crown Cemetery.
