Rita Jo (Hollars) Nowling, 72, of Seminole, Fla., died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007 at Morton Plant Hospitalin Clearwater, Fla.

She was born in Sandborn to Glenmere Hollars and Eliza Emmaline Lewis Hollars. She had lived in Knox and Greene counties.

She attended Sandborn High School and Weber State College in Utah. She received her L.P.N. in Washington and her Registered Nurse in Utah. She retired from Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Fla., as a Registered Nurse.

Survivors include two sons, Glen Nowling of Largo, Fla. and James McEwen Jr. of Rensselaer; two daughters, Edna Hopkins of Terre Haute and Brenda Ellers of Seminole, Fla; a sister, Sandra Banta of Alamogordo, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The National Cremeation Society in Clearwater, Fla. is in charge of arrangements.
