Atta Ruth Stoelting, 92, of Westphalia, passed away at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007 at Lyons Health and Living Center.

Born July 3, 1914 in Vincennes, she was the daughter of William Jefferson and Rhonda Jane (Edmondson) Thomas.

She formerly worked at Crane, was a homemaker and was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia.

She married Eric William Stoelting on Aug. 20, 1930. He died April 3, 1967.

Survivors include: two sons, Dallas Stoelting of Terre Haute and Richard Stoelting of Bloomfield; a daughter, Marquetta Richardson of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rita June; four sisters; and four brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. CST at Salem UCC Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Peter Haskins officiating. Burial will be in Salem UCC Cemetery.
