He was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Greene County, the son of Cleo Virgle and Goldie E. (Keller) Goodman.
He was a self-employed plumber, a Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of American Legion Post No. 22, and a member of Linton Moose Lodge.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl, Sharron, and Debbie, all of Florida; a son, Tommy Goodman of California; two sisters, Louise Combs of Carlisle and Shirley Ann Brouhard of Freelandville; and several grandchildren.
Graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Thursday at Woodward Cemetery, three miles south of Dugger with the Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. The Linton American Legion and VFW posts will conduct military graveside rites.
