Ruth Pauline Flater, 86, of Linton, passed away Saturday, Feb.17, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital.

She was born in Iowa, on Aug. 31, 1920, to George and Ida (Olson) McGinnis.

She married Raymond L. Flater on Sept. 10, 1944.

A homemaker, she attended Glenburn Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, David L. (Marsha) Flater of Linton, six grandchildren: Brad, Lana, Melissa, Cory, Jill, and Clay, and a daughter-in-law, Sharon Flater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; and one son, Albert Flater.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Brother Jerry Carmichael officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today.
