He was born March 4, 1919 in Linton, to William and Lurca (Storey) Jackson.
Bill was a barber in Indianapolis and Worthington, and retired from Worthington School, where he worked in maintenance and as a bus driver.
He was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Linton, American Legion and VFW in Worthington.
Survivors include: his wife, Orilla (Calvert) Jackson; four sons, William (Michal) Jackson, Newark, Delaware; Ronald (Laurie) Jackson, Terre Haute; Russell (Marion) Jackson, Annandale, Virginia; Randall (Nancy) Jackson, Shelburn; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Joetta Adams, Burne and Willetta (Mike) Ellis, Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 11 a.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Bill Beckelheimer, officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
