Ruth A. Connell, 71, of Worthington, passed away at 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007 at Linton Nursing & Rehab.

She was born June 10, 1935 to Julian and Florence (Courtney) Griffith.

She was a homemaker and waitress and a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries in Worthington.

Survivors include: two daughters, Penny Bays, Switz City and Julie Schaffer, Brown County; one sister, Judy Willis, Worthington; one brother, Leo Griffith, Red Bluff, Calif.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Connell, in 1985; and one sister, Gloria Connell.

Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington, at 11 a.m. on Friday with Rev. David Tyra, officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today, and Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.

Memorials may be given to Linton Nursing & Rehab.
