Bonnie Bowersock, 77, of Linton passed away at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Jasonville.

Born Nov. 4, 1929 in Pleasantville, she was the daughter of Emmitt and Vesta Brewer Burris.

She was a member of the Worthington Eastern Star, Worthington American Legion Auxiliary, Delta Tau and Pleasantville Baptist Church. She also attended First Baptist Church in Linton and was a long-time patron of the Margaret Cooper Public Library in Linton.

She is survived by a son, Joe Warren Bowersock of Linton; a daughter Rose Thompson of Poland; three brothers, Claude Burris of Evansville, Alvin Burris of Alexandria, and Melvin Burris of Anderson; six grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.

Memorial service will be conducted at noon on Tuesday at Newkirk's Funeral Home in Dugger with the Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial wil be in Calvertville Cemetery.

A gathering of friends will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.
