Carolyn Joyce Thompson

Carolyn Joyce Thompson, 66, of Linton, passed away at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2007, at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute.

She was born Dec. 17, 1940 in Linton, the daughter of William Oscar and Edith M. (Weaver) Maden.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Jo Chubb and husband Richard of Carrolton, Ky., and Carrie J. and husband Jim of Pineville, La.; two sons, William A. Thompson and wife Linda of Owensboro, Ky., and Robert A. Thompson of Linton; two brothers, William Maden of Linton and Robert N. Lewis, Jr. of Linton; and 15 grandchildren, Miranda, Levi, Joshua, Carolyn, Abigail, William, Jeffrey, Aaron, Jake, Josh, Rachael, Shelley, Carl, Cathy Jo, and Damon.

She was preceded in death by parents; and her step-father, Robert N. Lewis.

The family will have a private visitation.

Welch and Cornett Funeral Home in Linton is in charge of the arrangements.
