Dickie A. Phillips

Dickie A. Phillips, 59, of Route 2, Worthington, passed away 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 8, 1947 in Owen County to Lawrence and Iva Lena (Rennard) Phillips.

He formerly owned D & J Trash Service, P & P Construction, and was an auto mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Connie, (Hines) Phillip, rural Worthington; five children: Lloyd Phillips, Florida; Tammara Miller, Linton; Cindy Roth, Indianapolis; Sherry Thomas, Jacksonville, FL and Dickie Phillips, Worthington; four step-children: Kenneth Lowther, Worthington; Chris Freeman, Spencer; Matthew Lowther, Worthington; Tabitha Lowther, Worthington; 18 grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Phillips, Bowling Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Martha "Marty" (Lowther) Phillips, Jan. 29, 2003.

Funeral service will be at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington at 1 p.m. on Friday.

Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday.
