Doris Gay Jamison, 84, of Spencer and formerly of Worthington, passed away at 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer.

She was born, April 3, 1923, in Greene County, to Lee and Blanche (Sesney) Harris.

She was a beautician, homemaker and worked as a cook at the former Worthington- Jefferson High School for several years.

She is survived by two sons, Terry (Trudy) Jamison, Spencer and Tom (Mary) Jamison, Greenwood; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bob Harris, Leesburg; and one sister, Olive Gilman, Sun City, Fla.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, Edmund D. Jamison on Jan. 24, 1999; three brothers, Kenneth, Wilbur and Rex Harris; and one sister, Dorothy Harris.

A private family service will be held at Worthington Cemetery on Saturday.

Arrangements are being handled by Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington.
