Born Jan. 6, 1922 in Mecca, she was the daughter of Burl L. and Orpha (Barker) Hardesty.
She had worked at Walgreen's in Indianapolis for several years. She was a member of the Jasonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include: nieces Sharon Davenport of Spencer, Diane Sells of Farmland and Mary Johnson of Ridgeville; and a nephew, Larry Hunter, of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Dale Hunter and Karl R. Smith; two brothers, James Hardesty and Robert Hardesty; and one sister, Josephine Puckett.
A graveside memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland with the Rev. Brad West officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by McClannahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville.
