Madalyn V. Davis, 85, of Bloomfield, passed away 3:20 a.m. on Monday at Lyons Health and Living Center.

Born March 24, 1922 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Clayton and Blanche (Klinger) Rodocker.

She was retired as the bookkeeper for Bloomfield Manufacturing and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Bloomfield United Methodist Church and the Greene County Extension Homemakers Club.

Surviving relatives include: her husband, Carl Davis of Bloomfield whom she married Aug. 25, 1945; one son, Gregory Cy Davis of Bloomfield; one daughter, Melanie Sutphin of Bloomfield; three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two great, grandchildren, and five step-great, grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be in Prarie Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and one hour prior to service Wednesday.
