Walter J. Shaw, 78, of Linton, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.

Born Dec. 16, 1928 in Bicknell, he was the son of James M. and Jessie (Henderson) Shaw.

He retired from Ford Motor Company, where he served 24 years as a power steering repairman. An U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of the Bethel Independent Fundamental Baptist Church in Linton.

Survivors includes his wife of over 54 years, Wilma J. (Stark) Shaw, of Linton; a son, James David (Kathy) Shaw of Linton; a son, Donald Wayne (Kim) of Fortville; daughter-in-law Lisa Shaw of Indianapolis; Janet Stark of Bicknell; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by is parents and a son, John Shaw.

Funeral service was Tuesday at Seals Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fortville. Burial was in Gravel Lawn Cemetery, also in Fortville.
