Born March 7, 1916 in Bloomfield, he was the son of Harvey Roscoe and Caroline (Hash) Skinner.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United Sates Army and was retired from NWSC Crane.
Survivors include: his wife, Geneva (Shireman) Skinner of Summerville, Ga.; two sons, Darrell Skinner of Summerville and Richard Skinner of Bloomfield; three daughters, Karen Stivers of Summerville, Peggy Allen of Bloomfield, and Judy Bruce of Bloomington; five brothers, Marion Skinner of Boston, Ma., Mile Skinner and Sharron Skinner of Bloomfield, Vernon Skinner of LaFontaine, and Shannon Skinner of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Wilma Bernice Skinner; two sisters, Geneva Clark and Wilma Owen; and four brothers, Glenn, Delmar, George, and Wilbur Skinner.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Frankie Gott officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
