Rachel M. Ellis, 93, of Jasonville, passed away at 9:23 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2007 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville.

Born April 25, 1914 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Frank and Gladys (Cooprider) Peavey.

She was an active volunteer at Shakamak Good Samaritan Home and was a member of the Howesville Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Diane Ellis of Jasonville, Tom and Teresa Ellis of Bloomfield; brother and sisters-in-law George and Iris Peavey of Jasonville; brother-in-law, Nathan Bridwell of Jasonville; grandchildren, Debbie (David) Lubelski, Scott (Rebecca) Ellis, David (Kate) Ellis; step-grandson, Bruce (Lisa) Dayvolt; great-grandsons, Aaron and Adam Lubelski; step-grandson, Luca Dayvolt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Ellis who died May 29,1990; sister, El;anor Bridwell; and daughter-in-law, Loretta Ellis.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral in Jasonville with Rev. Marsha McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Peavey Cemetery in Howesville.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday.
