Born Nov, 2, 1921 in Jasonville, he was the son of Dennis and Margaret
(Maggie) E. Coleman.
He was a retired coal miner for Peabody Coal Co., a member of the United Mine Workers of Americaand was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was also member of Jasonville American Legion Post No. 172 and Jasonville Veteran's of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 6225.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Bohnert of Jasonville, Hank Bohnert
and David Bohnert, both of Linton, and Lester Bohnert of Indianapolis;
one sister, Betty Soncrant of Jasonville; two brothers, Bobby Bohnert of Americas and Kenneth Bohnert of Dugger; nine grandchildren, seven
great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, six brothers adn two sisters.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Lebanon Cemetery
in Midland with Pastor John Booker officiating.
Friends may call 5-8 p.m. on Monday and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at the McCanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville.
