Douglas L. Myers, 67, of Bloomfield, passed away at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday May 9, 2007 at his residence in Bloomfield.

Born January 9, 1940 in Mecosta County, Michigan, he was the son of Jasper and Martha (Asdell) Myers.

He was the head chef for many area restaurants and was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He attended Faith Christian Church in Bloomfield.

Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Tammy J. and Julie C. of Bloomington; one sister, Charlene Norris of Bloomfield; three brothers, William Myers of Mesa, Arizona, Ronald Myers of Jacksonville, Florida, and Steven Burss of Merrill, Wisconsin; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be no public visitation.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 29 at Jenkins & Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with Rev. Terry L. Turner officiating.

Interment of cremains will be in Greene County Chapel Cemetery.
