Jasonville City Council approves wastewater project change order

The Jasonville City Council conducted its February meeting beginning with a report from Jon Query of HWC Engineering. Query updated the council members about the wastewater rehab project and its status. “It’s essentially done,” Query stated, “The crew was hesitant if they should remove the lining of the sewers that they thought might need repairs before the project started, but when they got down in the sewers, they were able to dig through the sewer and a lot of those liners were able to be mined through once they did some heavy cleaning, so it saved a lot of money on the change order of $270,000.”. ...

Friday, February 17 Linton Public Library will host Bingo for Books from 1-2 p.m.. All are welcome but prizes are geared towards an advanced reader. Saturday, February 18 St. Peter’s Hall will host a soup dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.. This will be conducted through drive-by and carry-out only, 490 4th Street NE, Linton. Linton Public Library will host American Girl Club from 12:30-1:30 p.m.. Each month the focus will be on a new and different American Girl from the book series. There will be snacks, a craft and other activities. You do not need a doll to join and moms and grandmas are invited too.
