Commissioners apply for grant for courthouse project

BLOOMFIELD - Greene County Commissioners on Tuesday voted to apply for a grant from the Build Indiana Fund which - if approved - would mean $100,000 to be used for courthouse renovations or construction. Renovations to the 115-year-old courthouse are expected to cost an estimated $6 million. Commissioners have not yet decided whether to remodel the building, and perhaps add more rooms to help alleviate overcrowding, or to build a new one...
