The Sky is Blue.

My blog post for today is short and sweet. Here it is in its entirety:

"The sky is blue."

In reading the daily comments on the news and blog pages for a while, the only things I'm wondering about now is:

(1.) How many people will argue with me on this point?

(2.) How many will be seemingly ticked off beyond belief that the sky is indeed blue? I suppose it's the first they've heard of it, or maybe they're just CAVE people = Citizens Against Virtually Everything.

(3.) How many conspiracy theories will come out of the fact that I said, "The sky was blue."? Surely, it's the government! It has to be!

(4.) How many will suggest that I do further testing before concluding the sky is blue? I'm writing / blogging for free, but suddenly I'm now everyone's employee.

(5.) How many will say I'm wrong writing that "The sky is green" and that I should know it's blue? After all, what jokes for schools did I attend anyway?

(6.) And, lastly, who will be blamed for the sky being blue? Before the finger-pointing begins, let me just say "Not it!"

hehehe :)

The sky is only blue relative to you. I'm sure people on the other side of the globe would argue it's black. A quarter way around... possibly orange, or gray.

What about color blind people?

Also, let's not forget the physics behind it, and remember that since you're seeing the color, then the item (the sky) is actually every color but that, because it cannot absorb blue, so it reflects it back to you. This is opposed to something like a blue spark which is emitting electrons at a certain wavelength (the BLUE one) to appear a correct color.

I know you hate me ;)

Interesting. I believe there was a solar eclipse this morning. I wonder what color the sky was there.

What time of day is it? And what are the weather conditions?

Your blogs are always thought provoking - keep up the good work, Chris! You *are* making a difference!

Chris... Is this the best you could do? I think you've got too much time on your hands... And maybe you're spending way too much time at the bank behind a desk. Btw, have you even seen the sky?

Yet you are always willing to give two cents.

Oh Expat, we all know you're really just a big teddy bear behind all of that!
