Well, it's Friday once again... time for the weekend and a little R&R. I thought since my blog has been mostly about money, business, and finance, I could stretch things a little on Friday to introduce some Millionaires...

OK, maybe it's a big stretch... but stay with me, as there's a point to it all, especially for those artists out there that don't consider themselves marketers too.

In any event, back about a year and a half ago or so, I heard about a band out of Indianapolis called The Virgin Millionaires.

Here's a video clip they did on Indy's Music Channel ("IMC") a while back:

They have an ever-growing fan base thanks to DJs increasing their radio play in the Indy market, as well as grassroots marketing like many artists attain on www.myspace.com

What many garage bands today may not realize is that they not only have to create great music, but they also need to be marketing machines for the bars, clubs, festivals, and special events they play at during their humble beginnings. Places on the 'net like MySpace and other social networking sites, as well as YouTube, have made this a little easier -- at least opposed to littering the town with homemade, photocopied posters.
