What happened to 2007?

Did anyone notice what in the world happened to 2007? If you find it, let me know.
A lot happened in the Pruett's world this past year. Our only child graduated second in her class at Linton-Stockton High School, and is now a freshman at Ball State University. She's no longer a Miner ... she's a Cardinal. Instead of playing against Mitchell, Northview, Terre Haute South and the likes in golf, she's playing in tournaments at Penn State, North Carolina-Greensboro, and in just a couple of months we'll be heading to Phoenix for a tournament. Deb is in her second year of teaching second grade at White River Valley Elementary School, and she still loves helping those little ones learn. I know she enjoys it because her eyes light up when she tells me stories every night about her students. Things here at the Greene County Daily World are going well. If you're reading this blog, then you know all about our Web site. It went live earlier this year, and has been a major success! Look for more good things in 2008. So what will 2008 bring? That's a good question. I refuse to make any New Year's resolutions. I do hope I can accomplish a couple of things, though, before 2009 rolls around. To be the best husband and father I can be. If I can come close in those two areas, everything else will fall into place. Here's wishing everyone a Happy New Year! Thanks!
The year 2007 went the way of every past year and we can now see it clearly in the rear view mirror. Not to dwell on either the good or the bad or even the ugly, I'd say that overall for me, it was a good time intermingled with a few lows. As I struggle through another gloomy winter, looking forward to some more good times this year, I'd like to thank Chris and his staff for giving us the opportunity to participate in these blogs and for a nice, professional looking web site that provides timely news reports and pertinent information for the local communities.
Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008, Happy New Year to all and here's to the rapid arrival of spring and all of its' sunshine, warmth and green grass.

All the best & Happy New Year Chris...
