The Greene County 4-H Fair is always a busy time for the Greene County Daily World.

Employees are busy putting together pre- and post-fair special sections highlighting the fair and all its winners, and during the week of the fair itself employees get to know the 4-Hers as they cover many events.

It's a busy week, yes, but a fun week. Fun because we get to highlight the accomplishments of so many young people.

And that's much more fun than reporting on juveniles who decide to break in and vandalize a business as was reported in Friday's newspaper.

This year's fair gets under way July 7, and there are activities all the way through July 14. Cooking. Livestock showmanship contests. Hog wrestling (this is worth the trip!). Horse and pony shows. Mechanical Bull riding. Carnival rides. Lots of food.

And there's much more.
