Back in the spring I wrote a column about the Greene County Daily World getting a new Web site. Guess what? It's here.
Our old site was first put into service in July 2001, and was an instant hit. It grew over the years, and curently we average nearly 4,500 visitors per day. The site has been honored as being one of the best in the state for newspapers our size by The Associated Press and the Hoosier State Press Association. Our new site is much better! It offers a chance for the community to get involved with blogs and reader comments, and we'll be looking to add new features all the time. Give it a look and let us know what you think. Pretty awesome to see bloomfield auto accident photo as well as Linton fire in real time and before Friday's Daily World hits the streets.
The new format looks great! Good job to all who I am sure worked hard to get it together.
I opened the link and thought I had gotten the wrong paper. It looks nice, keep up the great work. I live in Northwest Indiana and can't wait to read the paper online daily to keep up with all that is going on in my home county.
The new website is very attractive. Can the obituaries be posted the day they appear in the paper? As of 08:45 Tuesday, only the notices from yesterday appear. Thanks and keep up the superior journalism!
The website looks GREAT. Good decision to make the upgrade.
It looks great-- very professional. Keep up the good work.
YES --- great job. Thank you for making it easy to navigate also. Page sizes are awesome. More pictures are awesome. I grew up in Greene County but live north of Indy a few miles. I really enjoy reading "back home" stuff.
You have put my 2 local newspapers website to shame.
Its nice to see change. Good Job.
