Indiana Weather in the Desert

Posted Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at 12:30 AM

We went into yesterday's round with no expectations, and lit up the golf course. Today, playing in the last wave of tee times, there were a few more butterflies and thoughts of what could be.

The conditions today were tougher, with cooler temperatures, a little rain/snow, and wind. Toward the end of the round the sun came out and the wind died down.

We were able to pull off a 302, and are tied for 5th with Nebraska. Scores were higher for the field overall, which was probably due to the weather.

Brittany is alone in 4th place after firing a 2-under 70 today. Despite having 2 double bogeys, she stayed steady and made 6 birdies.

I was 5 over on two holes and finished the day only 4 over for a 76.

Kirsty had a 77 today with one birdie. Kirsty is due for a round filled with birdies, so watch out for her tomorrow!

Kristtini got off to a rough start on the front nine with a 43. But she made an awesome comeback and was even on the back to shoot 79.

Chantelle had a tough day with the putter, but she managed to shoot 81 with a triple on her last hole.

Katie played better today shooting an 81. She said she hit the ball better, but just had trouble with the greens.

Even though we dropped two places today we're still in great position to make a move. Now we don't have the pressure of playing with UNLV, who is 17 strokes ahead of the second-place team.

Time for bed! Have to get a good night's sleep so we can kick butt tomorrow!
