On Monday, the family of Bob Hord announced their plans for a special memorial service later this month.
A memorial celebration of the life of Robert E. Hord, Sr., will take place on Thursday, May 28 at 4 p.m. at the All Saints Lutheran Church in Orland Park, Illinois. The church is located on Rt. 45 and LaGrange Rd. Right after the service, friends and family are invited to have dinner at Fox's Pub, a restaurant located at 143rd St. and Ravinia across from the Orland Shopping Center. One family member said Fox's was one of Bob's favorite places to go and the restaurant will be closed to the public during this special event in honor of Bob. In order to prepare food for all, the Aileen S. Andrew Foundation (ASAF) would like to know how many people will be there. The ASAF asks all who plan to attend to call Bridgette Doyle at the ASAF, 708-349-4445. The ASAF can also provide information on overnight accommodations.
