Well I really thought that I was going to be writing about how great of a quarterback Tom Brady is and where he deserves to be ranked among the greatest quarterbacks ever. Put that thought on hold for the time being.

I was one of the few people rooting for the Patriots. I'm not a Colts fan in the slightest degree, except for the fact that one of my best friends loves the Colts as much as I do the Bears, so I will root for them when watching games with him. But I am by no means a Tom Brady hater or Patriots hater. I do however strongly dislike Peyton's little brother, due to the fact of what happened when he was drafted, although that was largely Archie's doing.

So as much as it kills me to go public and say this, Eli is finally out of his older brother's shadow and played an outstanding game on the biggest stage. Correct that, he had an outstanding first drive and fourth quarter, but it was enough!

Maybe I have been a little bias and have always thought that Eli was one of the most over-rated quarterbacks in the game just because of his last name, but his composure on the final drive and the way he created a huge play, on what may be the play of the year, earned my respect. I never thought that I would be saying I respect Eli Manning, and I just pinched myself to make sure it wasn't a dream, a bad dream at that, but all in all, he deserves winning the Super Bowl MVP and be called Eli Manning, not the little brother of Peyton.

My last blog I mentioned how dumb Plaxico Burress was to predict the win, but I guess the Giants defense also had bulletin board material when Brady laughed at the fact that Burress only said the great Patriots offense would be held to 17 points.

But the thing that I disliked about the ending of the game the most was not the outcome, although I lost a substantial amount of change, but it was that Burress caught the game-winning touchdown catch. Most will say that it is fitting that it was Burress that caught it since he was on record of making the prediction, but I personally, and not just because of my last blog, would have liked to have seen David Tyree make the game winning catch, because he is the one that ultimately gave the Giants the chance to win it. Yes Eli avoided the sack and made the throw, but just as impressive was the catch.

So with that being said, I swallow my pride and say congratulations to Eli and the Giants on a great game and overcoming all the odds and preventing history from happening.

You said that you would have liked to see David Tyree make the catch, because he was the one that gave the Giants a chance to win...Plaxico won the game against the Cowboys, and if not for his play against the Packers, the Giants dont even have a chance to win the Super Bowl. I dont understand why Hobbs was playing Burress for a slant cause that is what Toomer would have been running on the other side of the field. I would have been guessing fade route the whold time, since Burress is 6'5, and can out jump the Patriots secondary.
