For the love of money.
I do it and so do you. We shut our mouths when it's clearly time to speak out. For the love of money. We lie and pretend lying is OK. Lie to me and I can look away. Your lie is your guilt. But, when I lie to myself I got no place to look but at me. For the love of money. We live in greed, telling ourselves it's OK. Pretending no one else is doing it. Who here lives in greed? You don't have to raise a hand or even bat an eye. Just listen closely. Money, Money, Money. It speaks to us in whispers. It says, "In God we trust." Its sickness leaks out into our words. It says, "I'm greedy" like some kind of fashion statement trying to look cool. Money, money, money. It's the mark of pop culture. It's everywhere you look. Greed is a disease that feeds on soul. It makes you think that you're looking out for number one. A grand delusion at best. For the love of money. Go ahead, take more than you need. Then pretend to share. That's right I'm talking to you. Go ahead and look away. Sweep it under the rug. Take it to the closet. Money the dirty little secret. An addiction we keep in the dark. Everyone's doing it. So, it must be OK. For the love of money. We're just fooling ourselves. Getting that sick hunger for more. Money. Money. Money. Doing whatever it takes to get that next fix. At first it's the little things. Like overlooking the truth in order to get paid. Everyone's doing it. You really have no choice. Heck, you're lucky to have a job. Next thing you know you're robbing Peter to pay Paul. And it's always easy to take from those who have less. It's not your fault they're weak and you're strong. Keep on moving and shaking. Grow that wallet. It's OK. You're still throwing out some scraps. It's not your fault their living lean. Who cares, you're still living fat. And if they needed something they'd ask. Oops ... there goes greed talking out loud again. And once again it seems to make sense. Give to those who play by the rules. For the love of money. Look at us now. I'm confused here. Are you saying that anyone who has a lot of money is greedy? Is there a difference between someone who robs a store, bank, home and a person who makes a lot of money on say, Wall Street? If the person on Wall Street keeps ALL of their money and NEVER gives to charity or helps someone I might agree. (It is a given that a robber does not give to the needy.)
Are you saying greedy people are the ones that learn a profession and excel in it and have a lot of money for their effort? If they give to any form of charity and/or tithe are they still greedy?
Are you saying that if we distribute the wealth of the people who earn, then we will have a Utopian society? There will be no greed?
I can't help but wonder, if the person supplying for others who choose not to put effort into their own life, ever thinks that he/she is giving to a bunch of grubby, greedy people... who gives to the giver?
Judging from Mrs. Feree's previous posts, I think this a kind of a social commentary. Its not meant to object to wealth or people making money but rather the less-than-truthful means, or motivation behind, some have used to acquire it. Just my opinion.
I don't believe greed is automatically a bad thing. In certain situations it is good, in others it is bad. We must provide for ourselves before we can help others. It is not a bad thing to have money, even lots of it, but it is unfair to hurt others in the process or hinder others from the same opportunity.

And yes greed is bad, all greed by definition is a bad thing. Money it's self is not bad, Wealth it's self is not bad.
It is upon whom that wealth is aquired from and at what cost, that is bad.
DO the Healthecare and insurance CEO's need to make hundreds of millions in salary and bonuses at the expense of those denied care? No, why not settle for ten's of millions and pay for more care for those who need it? Why Not?
What is enough money ?
And when is it time to put a stop to the obscene greed that is corporate America.
